Dog Running

Retreat & Reinforce

Are you looking for a rest stop for your dog while your are on the road? Do want them to maintain their training while you're on vacation?

Then, tryout our Retreat & Reinforce overnight care service.

Our Retreat & Reinforce is offered to qualified CrossRoad members that have successfully passed a Behavior Evaluation or completed one of our training programs and who we see on a regular basis, weekly, or at least once a month.

This is not your normal dog boarding! Our Retreat & Reinforce program will reinforce your dog’s skills that they have learned with us in one of our other training programs.

Our Retreat & Reinforce service is

available 7 days a week, 365 days a year!

We offer a concierge service for this program where we pick up and drop off your dog at your house.

The Retreat and Reinforce program is by appointment only.

Since we specialize in performance dogs that may compete in dog sports, we do accept intact/unaltered males and females in our Retreat & Reinforce. We take extra time and care with our intact/unaltered dogs to make sure they stay separate at all times while in our care. If they can go with other dogs, they will be grouped with altered pets or same sex unaltered dogs.

Females in season or who may come into season are allowed to stay with us. Please pack your female dog's washable/reusable diapers for us to use if needed. All females must be used to wearing a diaper before staying with us and not chew, eat or destroy their diaper.

In season females are NOT allowed to play in play groups during their stay.

All dogs stay in cozy climate controlled rooms or crates while they are with us, or upon request stay in a crate. We know that some performance dogs are more comfortable staying in their crates.

House mates are not allowed the sleep in the same room during their stay but they can be roomed next to each other and do actives together. This for the safety for all dogs in our care. No dogs are left together unsupervised.

CrossRoads members will have the opportunity to enjoy our amazing enriching environment that will help balance your dog’s mental, emotional, and physical needs while they are staying with us. We have many different options for you to customize your dog's stay with us.

All dogs that are approved to join a social group, receive 2 group reinforcement refresher sessions each day while they play with their friends, in addition to potty breaks .

If your dog cannot or does not enjoy social groups with other dogs, they will receive 2 individual reinforcement refresher sessions each day during their stay with us, in addition to potty breaks.

Dogs are reinforced throughout the day with intermittent treat reinforcement. We only use the highest quality treats on the market with as few of ingredients as possible. If your dog does not know or have the skills listed to the right, please ask us about our Stay & Train programs. We want each dog to leave our care more well mannered than when they arrived.
